Sherlock Holmes Chapter One lets you play the role of the famous detective, navigating through the fictional, multicultural island of Cordona as an angst-ridden teenager. As opposed to living in the dark and gloomy London, Sherlock has taken on a journey to the beautiful Mediterranean island Cordona in the region where he was raised, to see his mother's grave. In The Devil's Daughter, Frogwares converted Sherlock Holmes to a pensiveness Jon Hamm knockoff, and this time, it's doubled up, giving us a fresh-faced model of Sherlock who is seen as if he's just been ejected from an episode of a CW Network drama, probably among the vampire-themed ones, complete with a pout and a penchant for leather gloves.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One can be abrasive, both in gameplay terms plus in the way it portrays an iconic figure, but it offers such an engaging and satisfying depth to its detective story that it's easy to get used to. Sherlock's companion of all time, Jon, is a kind of an incarnation of Watson and is a perfect example of how Chapter One adapts Arthur Conan Doyle's ancient character. Nobody said that Chapter One is perfect, but we can safely include it among the top PS5 adventure games of the year. The developers did a great job and we can see the improvements over previous games of the series. Chapter One, as the name say it, it is supposed to be the first of the saga, even if it is the latest on the shelves.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is a great detective game set in an open world that's just a little too basic. But solving the puzzles is amazing and regarded as a story-driven adventure, Chapter One is among the best Xbox Series X adventure games on the market. For example, in a case, I needed to find out the exact warehouse the gang leader was just by listening in on the employees worrying and noticing the events happening. It feels as though, with Chapter One, Frogwares have finally achieved the perfect balance between holding their detectives who consult with them and sending them out to a cold, indifferent world to try to solve all themselves. There are times when you need to look stuff up in a city archive and it's marked when you need to do. You will find occasions when you're required to attend a crime scene at the intersection of Mud Street as well as Busywork Ave., but these are less frequent or even a bit or "infront of this huge church as you are able to view a kilometer off", making it a great deal more enjoyable to navigate Cordona.
