Great 2019 shooters to play in 2020

Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 is a tough game to evaluate. I really want to enjoy Borderlands 3 and I know I will finally do, but I have to work hard to like it as much as I liked the other games of the series. It has the makings and signs of a great looter shooter driven videogame, but it's missing a few key ingredients to bring it home. I will not take into account a few functionality issues, some loot drops, and several other bugs, I am sure they will be fixed. It is the core functionality and gameplay that puzzles me a little. The feel of classic Borderlands activity is enough to carry the game further, but I wished they bring new things into the game, after all... times have changed. One more round of a specific kind of over-the-top shooter we loved years, but nothing more than that. I find it hard to feel as excited today as before, when they are using the more-of-the-same approach to Borderlands 3.

Among the ps4 shooting games, Borderlands invented a genre. Now it builds on that success, but fails to innovate. Especially when it fails to capture the charm of the two outings or innovate beyond the firearms you wield, than I have something to complain about it. Maybe is just me, but Borderlands 3 is nice game in the sequence that started the whole "looter shooter" genre - they were great, now they are the same, so I guess they are great? A terrific selection of stages, non stop action and controls make us want to explore more all the time. Some parts of the dialogues may feel slightly over the top though, but once more, maybe it is just me. The subgenre implies that you love to loot weapons, which in the long run may be for some rather exhausting. Gearbox did not revolutionize the genre this time around, but rather refined it notion a notch. I would expect more, I've got more of the same. Still a good game in the loot shooter category.

Borderlands 3 DLC

Following the not-so-memorable Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot DLC, and the much-improved Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC , it seems that third's time the charm for Borderlands 3 With the latest Bounty of Blood, Gearbox Software has certainly delivered the best piece of DLC for the game, combining some great storytelling, interesting characters, an engaging world to explore and plenty more guns, loot, and fun to be had, making Borderlands 3: Bounty Of Blood an excellent outing for the Vault Hunters.

If you enjoy loot-driven action games, and especially if you enjoyed previous games in the Borderlands series, I can't think of any real reason why you wouldn't have a blast with Borderlands 3. It is a shame that the main story and many central characters are more obnoxious than humorous or clever. But in the end, among the xbox shooting games that come out lately, I think Borderlands 3 stays well above the fold. It is a game that you will appreciate it even more if you know nothing about it, or never play it before.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is a great shooting game that have plenty of fans all over the world. COD is a well established and the Black Ops 4 is a successful video game that worth player's attention. "Call of Duty Black Ops 4" is among the best multiplayer shooters of the year. The Battle Royale mode and its new proposal make it a must of this generation. Still, as rich in content as"Black Ops 4" might be, it does exclude a segment of shooter fans that have no interest in multiplayer or competitive gambling, or do not have a community of gaming buddies to play with. Solo players can have a great deal of fun with"Black Ops 4", though ranking up in multiplayer can be a bit of a frustrating slog through hours of embarrassment in the hands of seasoned series veterans. The Blackout mode that is new is probably the best point of entry and promises to be an entertaining videogame of choice for months to come. We can all agree that the"Call of Duty" game series is extremely repetitive, and this videogame is no exception, but it doesn't mean it's bad, the Battle Royal is fun, the Zombies manner is engaging and fast paced, and the multiplayer has all of the gamemodes the game series is known for.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint paints a dire picture for the player right out of the gate: a helicopter crashes behind enemy lines, stranding the hero, Nomad, on an island paradise-turned-military state called Auroa. The moment to moment gameplay of Ghost Recon Breakpoint is adequate but somewhat clunky, apparently taking cues from games like Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of player weight and realism when applied to tasks like descending slopes and cliffs, which can often find players tumbling head over feet towards the bottom. Ghost Recon Breakpoint constantly rewards players for exploration, eliminating enemies, and taking down the rogue army on Auroa.
Based on my experience, if you just do the story missions in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you'll hit somewhere between level 120 and 130 in your weapons and gear loadout. Ubisoft's follow-up to Ghost Recon Wildlands riffs on the formula established in its predecessor, with an enormous world, huge missions, and plenty of multiplayer options for both competitive and cooperative players. Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which pretends to be a serious spec ops simulator like its predecessors, is just another cynical loot game that seems poised to try to hook its players not with a gripping narrative and solid gameplay, but with that always elusive perfect gear setup.
Battlefield V is a solid first-person shooter with an amazing battle royale mode, developed by EA Dice and published by Electornic Arts on 20 November 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Grand Operations is a dynamic, synthesized event consisting of multiple maps and modes that can last up to four hours in real time gameplay, but playing one from start to finish represents one of the best multiplayer experiences available in Battlefield 5 so far. This new model is only new to Battlefield, as it's otherwise extremely popular in games right now, but because it's new to DICE's long-running series, the distance between what players can expect at launch and what they actually get feels wider. The last game in the series, Battlefield 1, was well-received, so EA DICE smartly decided to build on what worked, keeping many of the modes and gameplay intact, but moving the setting from World War I to World War II. Yes, World War II is well-tread ground in video games, but Battlefield V‘s campaign wisely focuses on lesser known parts of the war: the Special Boat Service in Northern Africa, the Norwegian resistance, and the Senegalese Tirailleurs.
Battlefield V allows players to feel the unmatched intensity of all-out war and travel to unexpected but crucial moments of World War 2 through new and signature multiplayer modes, single-player War Stories and the cooperative Combined Arms. Battlefield V is a first-person shooter set in various locations, such as Norway, France and Germany, during World War II. There are single player stories that can be experienced by the user, as well as cooperative and multiplayer versus game modes to explore. DICE has stated that, unlike Battlefield 1, it does not plan to use paid downloadable content , or " loot boxes " for non-cosmetic items within Battlefield V; new content will be added to the game for all players over time (which, itself, will progress through the different stages of World War II), at no additional charge.
I hope you enjoyed this selection of shooters that are still valid for today's players. They will work on the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, and will continue to receive DLC for the next years. Battlefield excels in multiplayer online mode, its Battle Royale is one of the best that you will find, and the Electornic Arts is a solid name that you may consider. Brakpoint is part of the Ghost Recon, another solid franchise. Borderlands maybe a little outdated, with its aim to provide more of the same, but still a solid choice. Remember these first-person shooter video games?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Modern Warfare really feels like two distinct games, the divisive and precise campaign, and the loose and poorly-balanced multiplayer. I agree that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's depiction of this is well done and impactful, but some of the darker moments don't have quite the impact that I think Infinity Ward wanted it to. At the end of the day, this is a video game, and very few games that I have played truly blur the line between right and wrong. To be honest, the only Call of Duty title I've played from launch until the next game's launch was Black Ops 3, and while I do have concerns about Modern Warfare's staying power, as long as Infinity Ward remains committed to the title, I think it should do just fine.
Modern Warfare's gameplay can be divided into two categories: the single-player campaign and the multiplayer modes. This year, though, Infinity Ward pulls from its own history for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare And as a result, it's delivered excellent gunplay to pair with an intense and effective campaign and a fantastic weapon customization system in multiplayer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received "generally favorable reviews" on all platforms according to review aggregator site Metacritic. It is one of the ps4 shooting games with the highest rankings.
If Black Ops 4's lack of single-player sidelined you last year then Modern Warfare's superfluous modes do little to tarnish one of the best campaigns in the history of the series. I acknowledge I'll have to make my own peace with the game's low TTK and inclusion of kill streaks, but between Ground War, the 2v2 Gunfight mode, the Realism playlist, and of course the Special Ops cooperative suite, there's still so much about the reboot I want to invest in. My only hope is that Infinity Ward feels a genuine desire to refine the Modern Warfare reboot into a game that players of all stripes, not just the hardcore elite, will want to keep coming back to. With a new campaign, new multiplayer modes, and even some new faces, Infinity Ward hopes to make lightning strike twice with a new iteration of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Doom

DOOM doesn't take risks that are needed with assignment selection and may become repetitious near the end, but it boasts some of the shooting mechanics and thoughtful levels we've seen in a first-person shooter in years, pushing it to the fringes of excellence. It is one of the best xbox shooting games we've seen in a generation. The effort's a head-banging, heavy metal hoot with striking visuals a good backstory, and two adequate multiplayer-minded modes to back it up. Intelligent, fresh and endlessly enjoyable, Doom is more than a tribute to its cherished progenitor. This is the shooter that is pure that is technically remarkable in over a decade, demonstrating that id Software, even after 26 years, is an sophisticated game-maker.
It may not create the same tectonic shift in video console game culture as its ancestor, but personally, I prefer this Doom. By refining, meticulously, several age-old and taken-for-granted game mechanics, Doom proves that spectacle, excitement and narrative cohesion can exist in games seemingly composed of the basest elements. We are taught by id Software a lesson about how best to make a FPS campaign taking a look at the roots of the genre but making it fresh and new with graphics at the executions system and 60fps and 1080p. The multiplayer is bad, as you should have envisioned, but Snapmap, the level editor, is absolutely great and will provide excellent moments for months to come.

Doom Eternal

If you are interested in the best DOOM ever, than DOOM Eternal is the game you are looking for. DOOM Eternal is a really good game. It provides players with a brutal and extreme power fantasy while also presenting a challenge, a tightrope act of balancing that few games can ever accomplish with a masterful hand. As you handle health, shields, ammo, and motion around the arena, there is an almost feel to the experiences, yet those approaches never impede the pace of gameplay. It's got a solid campaign that weaves in engaging components that serve to enhance the experience instead of distracting from it. Id Software lovingly recaptures the spirit of classic DOOM while making a game that feels at home at the end of this console generation. It is the kind of game that we like to buy, especially when you have the chance to buy cheap xbox games on promotions or other special occasions.
The story in Doom Eternal can be entirely ignored and one won't have any less fun with the game, so it's not a huge blemish on the experience by any means. Doom Eternal is a thrill ride, barraging players from the mission to its blood-soaked finale with incredible fast-paced action. Fans of the franchise should be thrilled with it, and anyone looking for a meaty FPS to fill their time can't go wrong with this game title. Id Software has done an incredible job at putting care into this franchise as it was revitalized in 2016. Any participant who considers themselves a fan of first-person shooters will love DOOM Eternal as it pays tribute to the genre's roots and how it has grown over the last 3 decades. Smearing the entrails of thousands of horrifying hellspawn is one of the best rewards of gaming though it may feel brutal. Don't hesitate on this one.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - amazing space warfare

It's good - I can see myself playing it for months to come - but it's just Call of Duty with a new lick of paint, and with competition as rigid as it is, nobody could blame you for sitting this season's video game out. However, to do so is to miss out on an internet multiplayer that stands up with the best of them, and one of the Call of Duty campaigns nonetheless. By speeding wall-running up and upping the speed, everything feels more responsive and snappier. Combat has some oomph to it and feels weighty if you get a good setup. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare comes with a persuasive single-player experience with loads of optional missions for those searching for more, and more robust multiplayer modes for players of every style, whether you are directing the scoreboards in kill confirmed or goofing around with friends taking on an alien invader in an over-the-top amusement park. I recommend you to buy  Call of Duty Infinite Warfare PS4, a great shooter for all fans of the genre.
The gunplay isn't particularly different from other Call of Duty games, and while some attachments such as the Ram Servo (allowing energy weapons to bounce bullets off surfaces) mix things up a bit, but it's not enough to make Infinite Warfare's multiplayer feel fresh or unique. In what has become a fixture with Call of Duty games, Infinite Warfare's multiplayer is split into two experiences: the four player co-operative Zombies mode, and more traditional player-versus-player multiplayer. Among the ps4 shooting games, Infinite Warfare stand out with its sci-fi theme, very good gameplay, and a solid multiplayer mode.
Another way Infinite Warfare is able to differentiate from previous Call of Duty games is through its use of optional side missions These side missions strip away a lot of the plot baggage that sometimes bog down the campaign levels, allowing players to just sit back and enjoy the core shooting mechanics. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare delivers a strong campaign mode, and even though multiplayer and Zombies aren't as compelling, it's still one of 2016's best FPS games. I have to say, we have good xbox shooting games, but I like Infinite Warfare. That said, I'm not having quite as much fun with it as I had with last year's Black Ops 3. A lot of this has to do with the fact that Infinite Warfare's multiplayer component just doesn't offer anything particularly new or innovative in terms of its fundamental gameplay.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare does not reinvent the franchise at all. It brings back everything fans love about the console game and that is an exhilarating single player campaign, a frantically deep multiplayer experience and one of the most memorable zombie console games you play. We love to buy cheap xbox one games like Infinite Warfare, but not all are as good as this one. At this time, this is one Call of Duty game that worth your time. Infinite Warfare is a console game, with a great campaign and a multiplayer with all the vices and virtues of the previous one. But in a year with so many shooters, it is more obvious if it doesn't wish to eliminate the battle, that COD needs a renovation. Infinite Warfare provides a great deal of entertaining gameplay to a package throughout. There is something here for everyone, and enough to keep us all playing for one more year. Overly familiar multiplayer, but tells a story that is compelling. In the face of the attempts over the fence of DICE, this was not the year to abide by the formula.
